Fun at the ACCHE Kickoff Party
The ACCHE Kick-Off event was so much fun! Amy, Leah and I had a booth to talk to homeschool parents there about successful homeschooling. I thought our booth was pretty too but not as pretty as the ladies working with me. :) Our estimation game was fun to play. Good guesses! We met so many new friends and the kids had a lot of fun playing in the bouncy house and riding the rides at the park. We even got to ride the train together at the end. Thankfulness Keeps Me Here
The value of being thankful can not be underestimated. Here is what I am thankful for: Having recently travelled to Spain, I learned that several European countries don't allow homeschooling. I talked with a grandfather from Portugal who lamented the fact that his grandchildren, of which he has 15, do not believe in God much, if any. The grandfather was a member of the Gideon group, who is known for their tireless work of putting bibles in hotels, hospitals, jails, etc.

Our Preschool Co-op
Our Pre-school Begins! The start of school is always an exciting time of year. This year we have a beautiful, new preschool classroom in the bonus room at Amy's house. It is our third year of preschool/baby time for these five children. I am thankful for these five wonderful ladies! We begin having baby time with stories and songs when they were one. For this class we all met once a week and took turns leading Babytime. We would plan several books to read, songs and

Homeschooling Basics Talk at Graham Library
We had a wonderful time last Monday night at the Graham Library doing our presentation on Homeschooling Basics. Amy French prepared a great Powerpoint presentation for those who are interested in started homeschooling or want to know more about it. (See outline below.) I love her passion and energy while presenting. She is an amazing researcher who always bases her points on journal articles and facts. Leah was there too and able to help out afterwards with questions abou

Teaching a Multi-level Homeschool
The concept of schooling multiple children at the same time of different age levels or academic levels should not stop you from pursuing your homeschooling opportunity. Children are going to do work according to their ability and one of our jobs as homeschool parents is to push their own, individual limits, whatever they are. It is only natural that some children will take a subject or topic further than others. God has given each of us certain skills and talents and knowled
